Meet the foremost surgical expert in Anterior Horn Meniscus Repair
DON’T LET SOMEONE REMOVE YOUR MENISCUS
NOR POORLY REPAIR IT
Save your meniscus and prevent future arthritis with the inventor of the most advanced Meniscal Repair system
What’s the risk of removing it, having it “cleaned up,” or doing nothing?
Your meniscus is critical to the long term health of your knee because it evenly distributes the forces in your knee joint with every step.
If you choose to live with a vertical meniscus tear or have it partially removed, “cleaned up” or “trimmed,” you are at a significant risk of developing knee arthritis – a chronic knee problem that is often so painful that it requires total knee replacement surgery.
Why was I told meniscus tears cannot heal?
Tears are technically challenging for surgeons to sew and do not pay the surgeon well. Inadequate repair techniques lead to failure, which biases surgeons away from repair and towards removal. With proper extensive repair, all zones of the meniscus have been scientifically shown to heal regardless of blood supply.
Have your Anterior Horn Tear repaired by the awarded surgeon and inventor of the most advanced treatment
Dr. Justin Saliman, a seasoned knee orthopedic surgeon and entrepreneur, invented the Edison Award winning “Novo Stitch Pro Meniscal Repair System.”
This unique treatment allows him to arthroscopically sew back all meniscus tear types (including those previously considered difficult or impossible to sew) using a “Circumferential Stitching Technique.”
Minimally-invasive, Dr. Saliman’s system has proven superior to traditional meniscus repair treatments as patients heal pain and dysfunction while
preventing arthritis and knee surgical replacement in the long-term.
No one has more experience repairing meniscus tears of all type!
Why repair anterior horn meniscus tears? And why with the Circumference Stitch
Meniscus repair has been around a long time, but traditional techniques have had somewhat high failure rates and were only possible for a limited number of tear types.
So why are we now able to sew anterior horn meniscus tears in every age range? Because we can now sew using Circumferential Stitches. These stitches align the tear edges and compress them together during healing. They allow the top and bottom of the tear to be anatomically sewn together at the same time and can be placed through the same two minimally invasive portals that a surgeon uses to remove the meniscus.

What is the NovoStitch Pro Meniscal Repair System?
Dr. Saliman invented the NovoStitch Pro Meniscal Repair System in 2008 and then founded the start-up Ceterix® Orthopaedics in 2010 to develop the technology. The NovoStitch was approved by the FDA in 2012, received a Silver Award in the 2015 Edison Awards in the surgical tools category, and was recently purchased by a well known medical device company called Smith & Nephew.
Dr. Saliman uses his NovoStitch device to place circumferential compression stitches around meniscus tears to hold the torn edges together during healing. There is no need for removal of the tissue, which has been shown to increase the risk of future knee problems. Nobody has more experience sewing meniscus tears back together with circumferential stitches than Dr. Saliman
Holding over 25 patents on meniscus repair, no one has more experience sewing meniscus tears back together!
Dr. Saliman tracks all of his patients’ outcomes for 5 years
Dr. Saliman measures all of his patients’ symptoms and knee-related quality of life before and after surgery. This allows him to track how they change over time.
Outcome Tracking Certified
While all doctors should be doing this, the vast majority do not objectively measure and keep track of this data, so they don’t really know what about their treatments does and does not work.
Below are some examples of Dr. Saliman’s great results. Each tile displays a patient’s initial and latest follow-up scores, which are independently measured and authenticated by a software called OutcomeMD.
